Every night in Louisville, dozens of families and young adults are forced to sleep in cars or places not meant for human habitation.

Often, the barrier to housing isn’t insurmountable; it’s just a single past-due bill or upfront cost standing in the way.

Through our Sustainer Program, a monthly gift of $10 or more helps remove the final obstacles so young adults and families can move from homelessness to safe, stable housing.

Your support goes directly toward critical expenses like rental deposits, utility arrears, landlord fees, moving costs, and essential furnishings, turning near-misses into successful move-ins.

In the past six months alone, Sustainer funds helped 53 families (62 adults and 119 children) secure housing. For many of these families, the barrier was surprisingly small: a few hundred dollars stood between them and a safe place to live. Your consistent support helped remove those barriers.

Even better, the impact is spreading across our community. In that same timeframe, families moved into 18 different zip codes across Louisville, staying close to their jobs, schools, and support systems.

Because of supporters like you, more people are finding a path home. We’ve made progress in helping families, and now, with your help, we will extend that impact to young adults experiencing homelessness.
