The Coalition for the Homeless is pleased to announce that the Louisville Continuum of Care has been awarded $9,184,304 for homeless assistance from the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) this year.
The Continuum of Care is HUD’s collaborative funding and planning approach that helps communities plan for and provide, as necessary, a full range of emergency, transitional, and permanent housing and other service resources to address the various needs of homeless persons.
Funded projects support housing and supportive services for homeless Louisvillians. This funding will also further Louisville’s efforts to end veteran homelessness through the Rx: Housing Veterans initiative.
This year, all of our applications were fully funded, which is a testament to the quality of our work and the success of our outcomes in an increasingly competitive environment.
Thanks to all members of the Continuum of Care for their hard work yet again, and to Mary Frances Schafer, Director of Community Coordination, for her hard work on the application!
