Tenth Annual Bourbon Mixer Raises $160,000 for Coalition for the Homeless
Louisville, KY (August 30, 2023) – The Whisky Chicks and Bourbon Brotherhood hosted the tenth annual Bourbon Mixer presented by Homes of Tradition on Saturday, August 19, at The Olmsted. The theme was Bourbon Disco, and the lively event had music, dancing, food, and bourbon tastings from 21 craft and global distilleries. The auction, hosted by Legacy Home & Estate Services, featured 100 specialty items. The renowned Pappy Van Winkle and W.L. Weller raffles raised more money than ever before, with the Pappy raffle selling out completely. The event raised a record-breaking $160,000 for the Coalition for the Homeless.
“The tenth annual Bourbon Mixer was the best one yet, thanks to our volunteers, donors, and sponsors, who have now raised over $600,000 for the Coalition’s work to end homelessness,” said Natalie Harris, Executive Director of the Coalition. “With these funds, we’ll move people from homelessness to permanent housing, and continue to fight for enough shelter and housing to meet the needs of unhoused Louisvillians.”
The awards for the evening were as follows:
Top Fundraiser: Green River Distilling Company
Bourbon Brotherhood Fan Favorite: Michter’s Distillery
Whisky Chicks Fan Favorite: Barrell Craft Spirits
Best Dressed Winners: Kia Hampton and Craig Stein
Pappy Raffle Winner: Janet Redeford from Clarksville, IN
Weller Raffle Winner: Jason Harris from Raleigh, NC
